The new Umarex SurgeMax air rifle features a nucleus integrated rail platform and a TNT gas piston break barrel, along with a tactical all-weather synthetic stock with a sculpted ambidextrous cheek piece.
The rifle has a 35-pound single-shot break-barrel cocking mechanism that fires a 1.77 caliber alloy pellet at 1,000 fps. The overall length is 44.8 inches, and the barrel is 18.9 inches long. Rifle weight is eight pounds, while the trigger pull is five pounds. Overall length of pull is 14.7 inches.
The Umarex SurgeMax also features a two-stage adjustable trigger with an automatic safety, and the barrel features a blued finish. The barrel is rifled to facilitate accuracy and also features a muzzle brake. There is an included rubber recoil pad and a 4×32 airgun scope. The parallax setting on the included scope is set at 35 yards.
The Umarex SurgeMax air rifle will be available in May 2016 and will retail at a suggested price of $149.99.
