#DeerWeek Kicks Off Tonight on Outdoor and Sportsman Channels

Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel launch the most popular week on outdoor TV – #DeerWeek presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors – tonight at 7 p.m. – Midnight. From September 13-19, Sportsman Channel host Jeff Danker and country music recording artist Cody Johnson will provide viewers with fun, excitement and educational perspectives – in their inimitable style – about deer hunting and the upcoming season.

#DeerWeek, launched in 2017, is a unique, week-long, cross-platform event featuring primetime programming showcasing deer-specific content on Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel. This year marks the fifth consecutive year of this specialized programming event.

“#DeerWeek on Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel is a special time of the year,” host Jeff Danker said. “It signifies the start of one of my favorite times of the year and everything that goes along with it - the excitement and camaraderie of deer hunting season.”

“I’ve experienced a lot of well-spent time in a deer stand or in the woods in my life,” Johnson shared. “I love the lessons hunting can teach – safety, hard work, putting food on the table, and enjoying the camaraderie of friends and family around a hunt. Jeff and I look forward to sharing those with the viewers.”

#DeerWeek content also will be front and center in relevant OSG print publications, digital and social media platforms owned, operated and distributed by Outdoor Sportsman Group Networks and Outdoor Sportsman Group Publishing arms. With nearly 230 overall hours, nearly 70 primetime hours of deer-centric content and nearly 100 episodes, Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel programming will be dedicated to the week-long celebration of deer hunting. Content also will be made available by streaming video-on-demand service MyOutdoorTV (MOTV), as well as Outdoor Sportsman Group’s vast array of social media platforms.
