Kimber 2k11 Pistol Begins Shipping: First Look

TROY, AL, December 20, 2024 — Kimber Mfg. has begun shipping the 2K11 Standard and Target Models. 

After the highly anticipated release of their latest high capacity 1911 variant, Kimber has begun shipping the 2K11 - 4 weeks after the product launched on November 22nd. The 2K11 delivers features that no other high capacity 1911 delivers. This next generation of hammer fired semi-automatic pistol comes standard with an aluminum grip module, external extractor and fiber optic sights. The new 2K11 will come standard with 3 magazines for both 9mm and 45 ACP models. Plus both standard and target models come with one optic mounting plate that fits Trijicon RMR and Holosun footprints, unless it comes from Kimber with the Trijicon SRO optics installed. From hammer to muzzle the 2K11 is designed to be a highly competitive firearm right out of the box. The patent pending tool-less guide rod makes disassembly and cleaning effortless. The signature GT trigger delivers elite performance at a 3.5lb pull weight right out of the box. The 2K11 is the only high capacity 1911 variant that features an alloy grip module and alloy trigger made with 7075 aerospace grade aluminum where other competitive models use polymer. The ergonomics of the 2K11 stand alone and select models come with a Stan Chen Customs® magwell designed for quick reloads. Finally, the alloy grip delivers a high undercut that provides terrific comfort and superior control unlike any other production competition pistol.
