First Look: Savage-Stevens S1200 Shotgun

Stevens by Savage Arms introduced its first-ever semi-automatic shotgun for 2016.

The new 12-gauge S1200 features a smooth-shooting inertia system and is available with a walnut, camouflage synthetic or an all-weather black matte synthetic stock. It's offered with a 3-inch chamber and a 26- or 28-inch vent-rib steel barrel that accepts the Beretta Mobilchoke system.

stevens-s1200-shotgunOverall weight of the new Stevens s1200 is 6.6 pounds, and the shotgun comes with a 14.25-inch length-of-pull. Capacity is five-plus-one.

The new Stevens S1200 is offered in two barrel lengths, 26-inch and 28-inch, in its black synthetic finish. Both options will retail for a suggested price of $573. The walnut and Mossy Oak camouflage finishes are offered only in 28-inch barrel lengths. The camouflage-finished guns, available in Shadow Grass or Bottomland, will retail for $629, while the walnut-finished gun will retail for $685.
