Tiresome British tabloid hack Piers Morgan's CNN talkfest is being canceled next month.
The former London gossip-monger arrived here three years ago to take over the former Larry King time slot and apparently thought kicking the shins of U.S. gun owners was the route to big ratings. It was not.
"Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it," he said.
No kidding.

"I'm in danger of being the guy down at the end of the bar who is always going on about the same thing," he said.
Sorry, Piers. You were that guy.
Actually, I'm sorry to see Morgan go. His ratings were atrocious, so it's not like he was convincing anyone. What he mainly accomplished was firing up gun owners while serving as a piñata for the likes of Ted Nugent . An enemy that's polarizing and easily caricatured is the perfect enemy. So I hope he'll find a spot where he can keep banging on about it and keep motivating our side.

Because few things fire up our crowd like being hectored by an arrogant, hypocritical Limey.
