Springfield Armory is proud to announce the release of the new patented LevAR charging handle , a radically innovative AR accessory designed to ensure you can quickly and easily extract a stuck case from the chamber.
Addressing this type of malfunction in a way no previous AR accessory has, the LevAR features novel utility patent protection and gives you an on-board solution to the issue. While shooters facing this would normally be forced to “mortar” their rifle by slamming the buttstock against the ground, the LevAR gives you a quicker and easier answer.
While the LevAR functions well as a standard charging handle due to its robust construction and large gripping surface, a simple push of a button and outward rotation of the lever arm gives you the immediate ability to strip a stuck casing out of the chamber of your AR.
“The LevAR is a unique drop-in solution for your AR,” says Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory. “This replacement charging handle gives you a quick-response option that allows you to get your AR quickly back into action.”

The LevAR employs a cam that presses forward against the back of the upper receiver. When you pull the extended lever to the rear, you have a roughly 3:1 mechanical advantage over a traditional charging handle. This gives you the power to easily extract a stubbornly stuck casing. In addition, the LevAR allows you to keep the rifle pointed safely downrange while clearing the firearm, rather than pointing it up — a notable safety benefit of the design.
With ammo shortages the norm these days and a proliferation of remanufactured rounds on the market, the risk of employing a round that does not meet factory sizing specifications makes the LevAR a very sound choice for your AR.
The MSRP of the LevAR is $99, and it is designed to work with mil-spec AR-15/M4 platforms.
