Steyr Arms USA Adds M-LOK Rail Systems to Its AUG Accessory Offerings

Steyr Arms USA is now offering two new ingenious aftermarket accessories to enhance a Steyr AUG from Corvus Defensio. The new M-LOK® Forward Accessory Rail and the A3 M-LOK Receiver Rail are currently in stock and available for purchase.

The Corvus Defensio M-LOK Forward Accessory Rail replaces the Vertical Fore-Grip on any AUG to provide ample mounting solutions for items such as aftermarket grips, bipods, laser sights and illumination devices. It incorporates a seven-slot Picatinny top rail and three M-LOK mounting positions on each side as well as at the bottom. The hard-anodized 7075-aluminum M-LOK Forward Accessory Rail weighs 2.1 ounces and has a suggested retail price of $159. Two accessory M-LOK-mounted Picatinny rails—a four-slot rail that can be mounted on either side and a 17-slot bottom rail—are also available for $34 and $49, respectively. Both accessory rails include the required hardened-steel mounting hardware.

The new A3 M-LOK Receiver Rail is a multi-function mounting system designed to replace the standard top rail on the original-style A3 receiver. At 14.76 inches in length, the 35-slot hard-anodized 7075-aluminum rail offers A3 owners the longest mounting system on the market for the attachment of optics, back-up iron sights, laser devices and other accessories. The A3 M-LOK Receiver Rail weighs 5.15 ounces and spans from 0.25 inches in front of the ejection port to a point over the barrel 1.5 inches beyond the forward edge of the gas block. It features two forward M-LOK slots on each side, QD-sling swivel attachment points on each side of the rail as well as an integrated barrel-rotation block. The A3 M-LOK Receiver Rail also provides an interface to direct-mount Trijicon® ACOG riflescopes via seven mounting holes after removing the Picatinny base. This rail’s suggested retail price is $199.

While the A3 M-LOK Receiver Rail is not compatible with the current AUG A3 M1, the similarly designed 23-slot M1 Receiver Rail is available for that rifle. Other Corvus Defensio AUG enhancement parts—the Anti-Rotation QD-Sling Attach, the Enhanced Release Button and the Case Deflector—are also available in the Steyr Arms USA Webstore.
