New Wilson Combat X-TAC and X-TAC Elite Commander-Size 1911s
Wilson Combat X-TAC Commander

X-TAC Commander

Available in your choice of .45 ACP, 9mm or .38 super calibers, the X-TAC Commander combines a traditional bushing barrel design with a functional, practical grip texture geared towards hard use. Constructed of 100% Bullet Proof all-machined parts, this is one rugged choice for every day carry!  The 4.25” Commander slide matched to a full-size grip is the traditional choice of many fans of the 1911 design.

The enhanced X-TAC grip texture and Wilson Combat’s legendary attention to detail add up to a unique, top choice of working operators everywhere. The bi-directional, X-TAC frontstrap and slide treatment offer enhanced grip and improved durability over traditional checkering in severe and hard-use environments. Scientifically designed to work with dry or wet hands, with or without tactical gloves, the X-TAC pattern redefines secure shooting comfort and gun handling without the coarse, often painful nature of other grip treatments. In tandem with our G-10 Starburst grips, the X-TAC tread pattern locks securely into the firing hand and will reduce muzzle flip without snagging on clothes or cover garments.

The X-TAC Commander proudly wears our Wilson Combat 1911 Battlesight. This high profile rear sight has a U-Notch for optimum sighting in low-light, dynamic range conditions. You can easily customize your X-TAC Commander special order with your choice of sights, finish, and even optional magwell to personalize it to suit your individual preferences.

X-TAC Elite Commander

The legendary Wilson Combat X-TAC tread pattern is known for rock-solid traction and high round count shooting comfort. Loaded with performance options like our reload-enhancing one-piece Bullet Proof Magwell and carry options like the concealment hammer and grip safety the X-TAC Elite Commander has all the right custom features and striking good looks with a traditional takedown, 4.25” bushing barrel. Other options like the perfectly executed top and rear of slide serrations cut down glare on bright range days. Extra detail is lavished on the X-TAC Elite Commander slide with machined carry cuts, ball endmill cuts and a heavy machined bottom slide chamfer that enhances cosmetics, streamlines your pistol’s profile and reduces sharp edges.

The bi-directional, X-TAC frontstrap and slide treatment offer enhanced grip and improved durability over traditional checkering in severe and hard-use environments. Scientifically designed by Bill Wilson to work with dry or wet hands and with or without tactical gloves, the X-TAC pattern redefines secure shooting comfort and gun handling without the coarse, painful nature of other grip treatments. In tandem with our aggressive G-10 Starburst grips, the X-TAC tread pattern locks securely into the firing hand and will reduce muzzle flip without snagging on clothes or cover garments.
