VA-ALERT: Volunteers Needed for Richmond Gun Show July 11-12

VA-ALERT: Volunteers Needed for Richmond Gun Show July 11-12

As of right now, Saturday, June 28, the Richmond gun show scheduled for July 11-12, 2020 is going to happen. His Highness Governor Northam has issued his "Phase 3" re-opening decree that put such tight restrictions on indoor events it may not be financially feasible for the show promoter or the vendors. I am awaiting final word.

Understanding things may change VCDL needs to prepare for the event! PLEASE mark your calendars and volunteer to work one or more shifts.

This will be the first gun show in Richmond since early January. As you have seen and heard, gun sales in Virginia are destroying previous sales records. If this show goes on we can expect it will be busy.

VCDL Member-Volunteers are needed to help promote Virginia's premier gun rights organization at this gun show. Our fight to protect our rights continues and gun shows are a vital part of our efforts.

The show will be at the Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 E Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222.

Help is needed for all four shifts:
  • Saturday July 11 morning shift - 9:00am - 1:00pm
  • Saturday July 11 afternoon shift- 1:00pm - 5:00pm
  • Sunday July 12 morning shift - 10:00am - 1:30pm
  • Sunday July 12 afternoon shift - 1:30pm - 5:00pm.

If you are available for a few hours at times other than these shifts, let Mike Wilburt know (contact information below).

No previous show experience is necessary. First-timers are needed and very welcome to support VCDL and enjoy the show. There will be experienced volunteers there to help you get started.

Admission for VCDL volunteers is free, and many vendors will offer discounts to those working the show.

Please contact Mike Wilburt, VCDL State Gun Show Coordinator, with your availability, or any questions. Email: gunshows.richmond@vcdl.org or text - 804-814-7260
